From the start of 2025, we will be implementing a new shipping policy for our US customers. We will only ship up to max. 800 USD per shipment. This change aims to save costs for both our US customers and KKAMI.
This post will explain the new policy.
Who is Affected?
- Only US-based stores
- Applies to all shipping methods: UPS, DHL, FedEx, and EMS
- Includes private label orders
Why the New Policy?
- Cost Savings: Shipments under 800 USD are not subject to taxes or customs fees.
- Less Paperwork: Large shipments require more paperwork and are often delayed at customs.
- Avoid Additional Fees: Large shipments incur extra customs fees for KKAMI.
- New Rates: Changes in 2025 rates make small shipments more cost-effective. FedEx, UPS, and DHL have significantly increased the rates for large shipments, while rates for smaller shipments have only slightly increased.
How Will It Work?
- Shipment Limit: Each shipment will be capped at 800 USD, ensuring the lowest shipping costs and avoiding taxes and customs fees, with generally faster delivery.
- Order Splitting: Orders over 800 USD will be split into smaller shipments.
- Automated Process: The process is automated. Once 800 USD worth of products (including shipping) is ready, we will ship out the goods. Remaining items will be shipped once they accumulate to 800 USD or when the order is completed.
- Shipping Priority: We prioritize shipping the products that have been ready the longest.
- Temporary Unavailability: If you are unavailable to receive shipments (e.g., on vacation), indicate this in your account on the Order Progress page under Ship Preference. Automated shipping will then pause until you are available.
Example Scenario:
- Day 1: 200 USD ready
- Day 2: Additional 400 USD ready (total 600 USD)
- Day 3: Additional 400 USD ready (total 1000 USD) – First shipment of 800 USD, 200 USD left
- Day 4: Additional 700 USD ready (total 9000 USD) – Second shipment of 800 USD, 100 USD left
- Later: Final shipment of remaining 400 USD
Can You Request a Shipment?
Yes, you can still request a partial shipment (less than 800 USD) anytime via your account or by contacting us. Please note that very small shipments (2kg or less) are less cost-effective and may result in additional shipping costs, as displayed on the Order Progress page.
